A support group can really help alleviate the effects of divorce upon children and teens. They tend to clam up and bury feelings moving toward identifiable coping patterns. By attending a group they can learn to express and normalize their feelings and gain the vital perspective that will help them become healthy adults.
Groups provide an immediate sense that you're not alone with a particular difficulty. You'll be able to give and receive strength from others walking the same path. Support groups provide healing through connection in a guided therapeutic environment. They are also more affordable than individual sessions.
